I was so hoping that today was going to be outright boring and entirely uneventful. Unfortunately for me, no such luck. Granted it hasn't been a horrible day, but I was looking forward to napping and relaxing rather than getting a call from every person under the sun, for a reason I have yet to establish, and then found out I get to sell my car.
Yes, my baby of a car. My pretty sky blue Pontiac GTP that I got only about 6 months ago. The reason? Randy got a call from JPPSO, who is the moving company for military when PCSing, and they informed us that they will not ship vehicles within the United States. Now, if we were moving to another country it would be a different story. But no, they will not move it to Georgia with the rest of our belongings. So either we sell it in two weeks or my friend Jess has been kind enough to agree to show it to prospective buyers for us after we leave. Needless to say, I bit the bullet on this and agreed to sell it rather than pay to ship it, and use the money to buy a new vehicle. At least that would mean I could afford something else that's really decent right? Wrong. Apparently over the past six months the value of the car has dropped from near $3000, to about $1200 if I did kelly blue book correctly. *sigh* What a wonderful day this is turning out to be.
